Description

Ingredients

600g potatoes

400g sausages (such as bratwurst or other hearty sausages)

1 large onion

2 cloves of garlic

2 tablespoons oil

1 tablespoon paprika (sweet or smoked)

500ml vegetable or chicken broth

1 can (400g) diced tomatoes

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  • Peel and dice the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

  • Slice the sausages into pieces and chop the onion and garlic.

  • Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

  • Add the sliced sausages and cook until browned on all sides.

  • Sprinkle the paprika over the sausages and onions, stirring to coat evenly.

  • Add the diced tomatoes and vegetable broth to the pot. Stir well and bring to a boil.

  • Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Variations: Use vegetarian sausages for a plant-based version, or add chili flakes for a spicy kick. You can also add other vegetables such as bell peppers or carrots for extra flavor.
